We came to Julia to do some work and made a safety inspection on her switch board. The original switch board in the house had burn marks and the fuses were all blown. I gave her a quote to put some new safety switches on to get it up to the current standards. To prevent injuries from electrocutions, safety switches and circuit breakers will automatically turn off the switches. This will ensure the safety of Julia and her family and very likely keep her property safe too !
It was obvious that Julia’s switchboard was very old. In these cases we would prefer to focus on Switch Board Repairs & Replacement to ensure the safety of occupants. Furthemore, on inspection we found the switchboard contained a black panel containing asbestos. If you are concerned, you should look out for a label appearing on your switchboard casing that says “Lebah” as Lebah is a trade name of the panels manufactured from asbestos material.
We made a new switch board. We replaced the asbestos panel with a new panel, which is fire resistant and the switch board now has all the safety switches. I showed Julie how you can actually check the switchboard once a month to ensure it’s working correctly, just by pressing the test button and it turns off. Once you know that it’s working just flick it back up. The switch will automatically trip when it detects an electrical problem to protect the house from further damage.
